My first 10 career values in order of importance are the following:
- Having a set routine
- Being secure
- Influencing others
- Helping others
- Being responsible
- Being successful
- Being important
- Being respected
- Fitting in
- Having a good reputation
I chose that having a set routine is most importance because time management is very important to me. When I have my schedule in order, I will feel balanced and in control of my actvities.
Being secure is my second career value because if I do not feel safe at work, I will not want to spend several hours there.
Influencing others will be my third choice because I like to interact with others and see how they will think and feel about my beliefs. I want to influence them in a positive way, and if possible to someday tell them about Christ.
Helping others was my fourth choice because at the end of the day, that will be something that I will not regret spending my time for. Even if I earn all the money, neglecting to help out people around me, I know I will not feel great.
Then the others follow as being responsible, successful, important and respected. I think I would like to be responsible because if no one cared about the work I do or if I do any work, that will be sad. Also, I will like to be a successful and important business woman. I want to do my best and be respected in the area of my studies.
Last two values are fitting in and having a good reputation. I want to interact with people at work and fit in. I would like to develop good relationships that will carry out to friendships and outside of work. As well, I want to have a good reputation because I want to be a role model of working woman and most importantly, a good Christian.
Looking at my 10 important values in choosing my job was helpful to learn more about myself.
