Scream

It was an unusually dark and foggy day. There were no sunlight present and it seemed as if the whole Earth was a cave. Not much people were out of their houses; perhaps, they were afraid that something will happen. I wanted to stay home but I had to go to work. I got out of bed at usual time; 6 in the morning and got ready to go in 30 minutes. I approached the bus station and until then, I did not encounter anyone. It was strange. It seemed as if everyone took a day off without me. I waited for a bus afor about an hour when I was left with no other choice but to talk to work. It was a long way with the fog; I was not able to see where I was going. I was already late and I struggled to see through the clouds what was in front of them. When I finally reached the office, my jaws dropped opened. My eyes widened and I froze for a while until I thoroughly understood what was being said. It was a national holiday: everyone DID take a day off without me!
